Guided Walks & Horse Trails
An early morning walk through the primordial sand forest of Falaza brings guests into intimate contact with nature. Under the care of competent rangers, are often rewarded with unusual sightings of many creatures at close range. These walks are not strenuous and are enjoyed by young and old alike
For those who enjoy horse riding nothing can compare with the exhilaration of the African bush.
Boat Cruise
A leisurely cruise on the Mzinene River which cuts through the Game Park affords glimpses of crocodiles and hippos as well as the prolific bird life along the river banks. Whether your choice is a morning cruise or the ever-popular sundowners booze cruise this is a wild life experience not to be missed.

A summary of birds found at Falaza
Falaza Game Park borders the St Lucia World Heritage Wetland Park, a prime destination for bird lovers. Its woodland, grassland and forest habitats are home to a wide diversity of species.
Of particular interest to birders are Pinkthroated Twinspot, PinkThroated Longclaw, Narina Trogon, Rudds Apalis, African Broadbill, Lemon-breasted Canary and the beautiful Grey Waxbill.

A summary of mammals found at Falaza
Amongst the larger mammals guests may expect to see at Falaza are White Rhino, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Warthog and even, on the rare occasion, an elusive Leopard.
The many indigenous species of buck include Waterbuck, Kudu, Nyala,both Red and Grey Duiker, Reedbuck,Red Hartebeest, Impala, Blesbuck, as well as the rare Suni.
A rich diversity of smaller mammals such as Bushbabies and Vervet Monkeys are resident in the park and many of the most rewarding sightings can be of these tiny creatures.

Vegetation
It is the varied vegetation at Falaza Game Park which is responsible for the extraordinarily wide variety of animal life here.
Like its neighbour, the Lake St Lucia Wetland Park, Falaza has woodlands, grasslands and primordial sand forests which together are to host to thousands of species of birds, animals, trees and plant life.
