Summer: 05h00 to 19h00 (November to February)
Winter: 06h00 to 18h00 ( March to October)
Can I swop an open vehicle game drive for guided walk?
Go to the reception desk and inform the staff on duty that you wish to swop your open vehicle dive for a guided walk.
Are there camp sites inside the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park where I can pitch my tent or park my caravan?
No. Camping is not allowed. However there is a tented safari camp at Mpila Camp.
What is the difference between Self Catering and Non Self Catering accommodation?
Self catering units have their own private kitchen to prepare their meals.
Non self catering units do not have a kitchen and guests will either eat at the establishment’s restaurant or use a communal kitchen in the event that they want to prepare their own meals.
Can I eat at Hilltop Camp’s restaurant if I am staying in a self catering chalet?
You can book accommodation before had that includes meals or you con book meals on arrival at Hilltop Camp reception.
Is Hilltop Camp fenced?
Hilltop Camp is secured by an electric fence.
What is meant by Conservation Levy – Entrance Fee
On 1st November 2003, a new conservation levy to the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Reserve. This levy is essential in the fight against chromalena, poaching, and to support the wild dog project, and many other activities that preserve the wildlife heritage of these parks for future generations.
Conservation levies are not included in the accommodation rates.
